In the Community
Since our inception the Knights and now the Knights Old Boys have been very active in engaging with and supporting the local community.
Mark Hughes Foundation
The Once a Knight Old Boys are proud to announce their new charity partner is the Mark Hughes Foundation:
The Foundation was founded by our very own Old Boy, Mark Hughes after he suffered a high grade brain tumour in 2013. Since then, one of the Knights’ finest players has gone on to develop the Foundation into a fundraising juggernaut that is helping change the fate of many people with this insidious disease.
The Old Boys are extremely proud to partner with the Mark Hughes Foundation. MHF will feature in all our fundraising efforts and special events in our efforts to assist Mark and his amazing success story.
Our first joint fundraising effort will be on Sunday June 24 at Central Bar, 145 King Street. Details here
Local Rugby League
We also strongly support local rugby league – and recently hosted our Junior League Appreciation Round where each Knights Old Boy represented their Newcastle Rugby league junior club.
